InfStones P-Rep Proposal
InfStones is a Silicon Valley-based technology company that specializes in cloud computing and is one of the largest service providers for blockchain cloud management. With excellent technical strength and node management record, With our top-notch technology infrastructure and outstanding node management record, InfStones stands out amongst all competition for node management of every public chain’s nodes. The nodes InfStones manages for EOS, TRON, VeChain, Ontology, Iotex, Loom, Bytom, Elastos, and other DPoS public chains are all supernodes. Additionally, InfStones has mining nodes deployed in well-known PoS public chains including IRISnet, Cosmos, Tezos, Algorand, IOST, and Wanchain.
Proposal introduction (What)
a. ICON Network Stability
InfStones would like to become a part of the ICON Network by becoming one of the P-Rep to help maintain the network. Our company has experience running block producing nodes on many chains, such as EOS, TRON, Ontology, Cosmos, GXChain, IoTeX, and more. We have the technical abilities to make sure our node achieves high availability as well as security standards and could share our technical knowledge with existing members.
b. Bring New Members to ICON Community
By operating on multiple high-profile chains, we have accumulated a diversified customer base, which we can seamlessly bring to the ICON community. InfStones serves a wide range of clients, including high-profile individual clients, institutional investors, foundations, as well as universities and research organizations. Today our community has accumulated thousands of members; we believe the vision and value of ICON would also attract them.
c. Economic Model Consultancy
Most importantly, we have studied the economic models of different DPoS chains extensively and would love to discuss it with the ICON team and share our experiences. We have discussed with the ICON team and provided our consultancy services from the very beginning.
We believe that InfStones will be a valuable member of the ICON community. We want to contribute to the stability and growth of the ICON by becoming a P-Rep.
The motivation of the proposal (Why)
One of the advantages of running block producing nodes on a variety of chains is that we have the chance to talk to many communities, thus, able to acquire information from a wide range of sources. ICON is one of the projects that we have the fortune to get to know.
At InfStones, we believe PoS/DPoS is the future of the Blockchain and is always looking for projects in the space with great potential. We want to bring in our existing customers and community to ICON and share our knowledge of the DPoS space to contribute to the development of ICON.
By contributing to the growth of ICON, we are also doing good for our community as we would be able to create opportunities for them to participate in the development of a project with excellent growth potential. Our motivation is always creating win-win solutions for customers, and for the projects we plan to participate.
Execution plan of the proposal (How)
InfStones want to contribute to ICON’s ecosystem in the following areas:
a. Share our experience of running nodes on chains with high TPS and high requirement with community members and contribute to the stability of the network.
b. Provide consultancy to assist ICON in improving ICON’s DPoS Staking Program.
c. Introduce ICON InfStones’ existing customers and communities to broaden the influence of ICON. We will also introduce staking on ICON to our existing customer of institutional investors and high net-worth individuals, thus helping ICON achieving greater stability.
Expected timeline of the proposal (When)
We’ve started to share our opinions of different DPoS economic models to contribute to the development of ICON’s staking economy as soon as we established an official connection with the ICON team. We will also continue sharing our knowledge and experiences of running nodes on other Chains with other existing P-Reps to contribute to the stability of ICON’s network.
At the same time, we’ve started to introduce the ICON’s DPoS staking program to our core customers who would be interested in purchasing ICX and participate in staking. We’ve also published announcements and PR materials of ICON to our community through our official channels to broaden the influence of ICON.
Near-term
- Establish ICON citizen node and deploy it in the nodes monitoring and disaster prevention 24/7 system of InfStones.
- Following up on the economic model progress of other public chains, continue giving feedback to ICON team about economic models.
- Open ICX staking service in InfPool and publish announcement in InfPool community.
- Produce tutorials to promote ICON to our community, including overviews of ICON, governance structure, and tutorials of staking, voting via official wallets and InfPool.
- Host meetups in the US and China to help promote influence of ICON.
Long-term
- Keep introducing customers into ICON community.
- Help establish contact between ICON team and potential partners including top exchanges, capitals, technical teams and ecological partners.
- Launch ICON Community Long-Term Staking Incentive Program to reward the contribution of long-term voters.
- Launch InfPool ICON Voter Incentive Program to inspire more InfPool users to join ICON staking.
- Launch community-driven events with other P-Reps to raise awareness and offer rewards to participants.
