[Network Proposal] Increase the Transaction Fee

need to consider all the times one would need to update SCORE as well not just the initial deployment. if you needed to update score within a short period of time you would be looking at a 400+ icx outlay if it went to 10x.

The initial DBP could have been a nice way to subsidize the cost of SCORE deployments. I think some funding would of benifit.

Can we also consider a revert of SCORE fee if the contract does not pass audit? is this possible?

No, the deployment fee should be charged regardless of audit failure. This prevents abuse of deployment.

@BennyOptions_LL I fully support your initiative, since Iā€™ve been thinking the current tx fee is ridiculously low. Regarding the concern of deployment and update fee, I think SCOREs should be thoroughly tested in testnets before actual deployment in mainnet, and the update functionally should be used limitedly. In my opinion, the update functionality is being largely abused.

I agree with this. However has the score audit process been made public. ? We can test our SCORE as much as functionally possible but without knowing exactly what it is the audit team look for its not much use.

This is somewhat off-topic, but If you comply with the audit checklist (https://www.icondev.io/docs/audit-checklist), I donā€™t see any reason that the audit team rejects your SCORE deployment. Furthermore, you can also do self-auditing by using ICON CSS system (https://css.signal9.io/user/login).

ICON team has just released a new auto audit system https://medium.com/helloiconworld/introducing-score-audit-system-bf5f1310c137
It may help the process, but still need manual audit by ICON though.

Voted ā€œAgreedā€ !

We have been thinking about how best to make deployment assistance available. The idea behind this is to preserve builders who might give up after seeing the fees, which we think would be a minority, but we must not neglect our most important resource (the builders  )!

We think itā€™s useless to create an additional telegram channel for this but rather to add a small line in the ā€œDeployā€ section of icondev.io indicating that deployment help is available for builders directly in the ā€œICON devā€ telegram channel ?

Creating a link with the community could also make them aware of all the builder help available in our community (CPF, etc.).

What do you think about it?
